What is Bao?
Bao connects community coins to people on WeChat. Anyone can nominate an account and launch a supported Pump.fun coin. Bao allocates 80% of actual collected creator fees to that recipient and reserves 20% for $BAO buybacks and burns.
Launching a coin
Sign in with Privy, select or create a Solana wallet, and add a name, ticker, image and description. Enter the actual WeChat username to display publicly on Bao. Review the mainnet transaction and its costs before signing. Creation, permanent fee routing, and an optional initial buy are separate, recoverable steps. Keep your mint: if interrupted, resume from My dashboard.
What the 80/20 split means
The split applies only to creator fees Bao actually collects and attributes to a participating coin. It does not apply to volume, token supply, market capitalization, unclaimed fees, or every fee charged by Pump.fun. Recipient allocations round down to the nearest lamport; the residual is reserved, conserving every lamport. Operating costs are funded separately.
Permanent routing and custody
Bao checks the current Pump program, mint, quote asset, creator authority, sharing recipients and final revoked configuration. When the payout and reserve roles share an address, the on-chain shareholder is combined at 100%; the ledger separates 80/20. Roles sharing a wallet are not cryptographically segregated. Fees before final routing are tracked for review and are not counted as Bao-collected revenue.
Nomination is not verification
A launcher can nominate someone, but cannot establish their identity, consent or eligibility. Bao does not query WeChat’s user directory. Recipients submit a private claim using email sign-in, then complete an operator-recorded WeChat challenge. A QR code by itself is insufficient. Changes to payment details trigger re-verification and hold affected payouts.
SOL allocations and CNY balances
A SOL allocation is not a payable CNY balance. Bao records evidenced conversion proceeds or operator-funded CNY settlement at a locked rate. Every settlement identifies its source lots and cannot consume them twice. Estimated market prices never create payable money. Prefunded WeChat float is recorded separately from recipient liabilities.
The ¥1,000 payout threshold
The minimum is ¥1,000 of eligible, settled CNY for one verified recipient, aggregated across participating coins. It is a threshold, not a cap: Bao processes the full eligible balance. Smaller balances carry forward without automatic expiry. A daily queue is prepared in Asia/Shanghai time. Bao’s operator reviews and sends each payout; timing can vary.
What payment states tell you
Queued means a balance was reserved. Processing means an operator began the task. Outcome uncertain means the result must be reconciled before any retry. Reported sent is the operator’s payment report; receipts can be attached privately. Confirmed means the operator completed reconciliation; it is not independent on-chain proof of a WeChat transfer. Returned payments restore the appropriate liability with linked records.
$BAO, purchases and burns
The owner launches and configures $BAO outside this application. Bao only consumes its exact configured mint. Reserve allocation, purchase and burn are separate events. A purchase must match the correct asset and wallet; a burn must be an actual token-program burn, not a transfer to an arbitrary address. $BAO’s own creator fees remain developer income and are excluded from the recipient-coin split.
Corrections and opting out
If a nomination is wrong, you cannot be reached, or you do not wish to participate, submit a private correction or opt-out request. Bao can hold or hide the profile without deleting the financial history. Funds are not automatically diverted to the operator or to buybacks.
